Denon Squad – Oba (zshare)

Hey! Remember kuduro? It still exists. The Dirty Frenchman came across this one day while perusing Masalacism, one of his favourite blogs for eclectic world dance music. This song is like kuduro for serial killers. At least it sounds that way. We don’t know what they’re saying since we don’t speak a word of portuguese as we’ve stated before. Apparently these guys love the brand Denon. We have never touched Denon sound equipment. We will not call ourselves Vestax Team or Technics Krew. Walmer don’t play dat. Kuduro is probably one of the hardest types of music to mix since it relies on doing things at unpredictable times. The chorus will start a bar early or late. There will be some weird one bar pause in the middle of a song. It throws you off. You need to basically know a song by heart to mix it convincingly. Here is a video of them where you learn the benifit of recording a song while looking in the mirror:
